There's something about the summer.

Top- Primark £4 / Shorts- Uniqlo (last season) / Shoes- Topshop (old similar here)

Just a quick one to share with you an ootd post from my holiday. This was the look I wore on my second night when my tan was just starting to form. Made up of a cute Aztec Printed Crop Top from Primark for a mere £4..BARGAIN! Along with my trusty Oversized Shorts from Uniqlo, that I bought last summer for £15. I teamed this with my favourite summer clogs from Topshop. These are from last season, but they have similar ones available here. What do you think of my look? I’m not usually into prints, but this summer I seem to have bought so many different ones and they have actually really brightened up my wardrobe from the same old black, white & blue clothing which is quite nice.

I want to know what you guys think of prints, are they a staple summer piece for you?

Ill leave you with one of my favourite summer tracks by one of my star bands. Best Coast. Have you seen their blog?

I would appreciate if you could follow me on bloglovin here!

A day at the races.

I don't know about you but after checking out all the wonderful royal ascot looks on vogue.com for the whole week it suddenly struck me that I wouldn't have an idea what to wear to the races!! Firstly I wouldn't say it was my thing and secondly I've never actually been to even experience it.

With all that said I thought I'd put the kind of look I'd go for in an outfit post for you lovely people.

I'm not sure if you're suppose to wear black but I'd like to think this is a more laid back look, probably not suitable for Royal Ascot, but great for a day at the races, all Royals aside.

This chic and simple Beaut Black dress is from Topshop Boutique and £50. Jazzed up with iridescent accessories from Zara (who are on fire at the minute with regards to everything and anything). I decided to go for a dark red lippy from Illamasqua. Have you tried there products?...Insane!!! I didn't go for my usual MAC ruby woo colour, just thought the darker shade complimented the powerful look of the metallic shoes and bag. Completed with some vintage inspired rings from ASOS and voila! I'm ready to place some bets. Just have to get my self to The Races first.

What do you think? Is there something you'll be wearing at the races this summer?

Life's a beach...

So the sun isn't making much of an appearance here and you'e all probably planning your summer holiday wardrobe as we speak. With that in mind I thought I'd show you a few of my holiday essentials I took away with me last week.

1. Sunglasses- eBay, H&M (old) & Primark / 2. Backpack- Fjallraven Kanken / 3. Nail Varnish- Barry M / 4. Hair Salt Spray and Hair Glue- Got 2 Be by Schwarzkopf  / 5. Necklace- c/o Matthew Williamson @ Debenhams

I always take a few pairs of sunnies with me and this year every pair seemed to be round, right round. geddit? Enough of the jokes...they were all pretty cheap and you can find similar ones on eBay here

I also took long my beloved Fjallraven Kanken backpack which my lovely little sis bought for me. Its so roomy which makes it great for the airport or when going to the sandy beaches!

And if you know me you'll know I'm obsessed with nail varnish, I cannot count the amount of different colours I have on ten hands! These 3 summer shades are my most recent and i absolutely love them. The turquoise in particular is such a summer shade and and it makes you look even more tanned...BONUS!

As well as looking after my nails I never forget about my hair and these 2 bargain products are a must for my holiday. The salt spray is perfect to give a little life into your hair during the day and the hairspray holds everything in place for your relaxed evenings and to stop the humidity creating a whole lotta frizz.

Finally this cute statement necklace from Matthew Williamson at Debenhams. I got this beauty from the sweet Jewellery team at Debenhams and to tell you the truth I didn't take it off! The mix of summer colours in contrast to the chunky black rope is real winner in my eyes and it continues my love for a statement necklace!

What do you think of my holiday essentials? What will you be taking with you?
