Winter Warmers Wish List

 photo aw13coatshtml_zps167cb644.jpg
1. Orange Oversized Coat- Topshop £175 / 2. Checked Coat- Zara £129 / 3. Green Slouchy Coat- Monki £50 /
4. Grey Tailored Coat- Stella McCartney £1940 / 5. Black Tailored Coat- Alexander Wang  £730 / 6. Curved Seam Wool Coat- COS £175 / 7. Oversized Check Coat- River Island £65 / 8. Hooded Wool Coat- COS £150

Autumn's here and so another Wish List presents itself. I'd like to think this time it's a little more sensible, directional, thought about etc I mean no-one should be cold, right?! Okay, so maybe every choice isn't and this is a little extravagant in places (See Stella McCartney No4) but a girl can dream whilst having her sensible shoes on. Correct?!

I'd say everything on here is pretty much my usual style, the only thing kind of out there (for me) is this orange beauty from Topshop (1). Oversized Lapels, Statement Colour and Slouchy, it's a win, win situation if you ask me.

My absolute favourite is the COS hooded wool Coat in maroon. This is quite different to the other coats I own and I'd be quite keen (determined) to get this in my wardrobe this season. Another one I'm hoping to buy is the Monki Long Coat in Khaki. This is just £50 and with that in mind I can't imagine this is very warm, it seems more of jacket to me. That's not a problem though, I definitely have room for jackets in my closet.

Winter's on it's way and I have my eyes on many pieces, let's just hope I get what I want, what I really really want. (sorry)

This Is Me.

Top 10 Handbags (in no particular order)

So after writing my blog for around 6 months I thought it was about time to welcome you to my world. I'm currently a trainee buyer and I work in the wonderful world of accessories and in particular handbags. It's safe to say I'm pretty obsessed with any form of add on from shoes to jewellery to scarves, I just love a good accessory! Baring that in mind I just wanted to share with you guys some inspiration from the Fashion Weeks that have happened so far and the top handbags I'll be keeping on my radar for SS14.

 photo helmutlangbag_zpsbca0f850.jpg

1. Helmut Lang continues with Monochrome this season with a new update through the addition of snake on envelope style clutches. The trend continues to be transitional through to spring...quite appropriate considering how much one of these beauties could set you back.

 photo fendiblueandwhitebag_zps11f01fba.jpg

2. Fendi bring us an update of there Tote Bag with graphic printing in shades of grey and blue, for a sports luxe feel this season. This is a cool twist on a simple profile.

 photo christopherkaneflowerbag_zpsb84bcbc0.jpg

3. One of the most playful bags I've seen for a while comes from the god that is Mr Christopher Kane. He seems to do no wrong in RTW and now he's cooling up accessories too.

 photo burberryprorsumgreenbag_zpscf0f490d.jpg

4. Another Christopher who seems to do no wrong is Mr Bailey. We first saw this soft clutch at the Burberry Prorsum AW13 show, with embellished eyelets and leopard skin. The original tougher look has now turned prettier with embroidered flowers, fur and lace in an array of muted pastel tones. Another winner in my eyes.

5. Marni have upped the stakes this year in terms of accessories for me...as you will see (3 styles feature in my top 10). This b-e-a-u-tiful checked and jewelled multi gusset bag is one of the star's of the show for me. Checks, check. Chunky Jewels, check. Held as a grab, check. It has everything! All the trends of the season rolled into one and do so immaculately well. I want, sorry need now!

 photo pradadkgreenbag_zps71d8013e.jpg

6. Another multi gusset style comes from Prada this season in a string shade of racing car green. Kind of satchel like with a front pocket and buckles this comes in a luxury high shine leather. The strap is the perfect length to get that on trend contemporary vibe and the colour is to die for. We also saw this in shades of jet black and pillar box red on the catwalk in Milan.

 photo philliplimblackbag_zpsaf028a2b.jpg

7. This 3.1 Phillip Lim masterpiece takes the crown for me this season (sorry Marni). Black, obviously making this perfect for any type of year and any occasion. It has a chic look and with no contrasting hardware in sight makes this a tough style to pull of....but I think we can do it. Clean lines and formed perfectly, this babe will be on my Wish List until I can dream no more.

 photo marnidarkgreenclutchbag_zpsde98c30c.jpg

8. Marni no2. A simple boxy clutch with hidden handle in the same green we saw at Prada (obviously a key shade this year). Understated chic always wins and in my eyes Marni are miles ahead this season. Finished beautifully this is a wear everywhere kind of clutch.

 photo alexanderwang_zps1bc6025d.jpg

9. Alexander Wang has been up there with my favourites so far this season and the accessories didn't disappoint either. This bad boy of a clutch gives anyone a run for their money. In a rustic shade of mustard and from elephant grain leather this style will look even better in time. Heavy edge staining around the base and chunky silver dog clips toughen this rather feminine profile.

 photo marnidarkgreengrabbag_zpse3d621ea.jpg

10. Last but by no means least Marni numero 3. This seems perfect in shape and size, oh and colour..who am I kidding?! This is bloody amazing, particularly the webbing strap and metal top handle are a crowd pleaser. This is an edgy twist on a rather classic shape. I'm definitely hoping for some version to project itself to me rather soon, please.

Phew, so after that rally it's quite clear to see from the above that the oversized clutch and the mini grab bag are here to stay for another season. Baring that in mind its enjoyable to see the updates on these styles which are making them fresh. I'm dreaming every night as my head hits the pillow that just one of these will make it to my arms.

These really are right up my street and I hope you guys agree when I say Woah!

House of Holland LFW SS14

So on Saturday after attending the Julien Macdonald Show I was handed a ticket to House of Holland by my head of design, oh and it was a front row seat!! That wasn't the only brilliant thing...Holland's celebrity pals were out in full force, with the likes of Alexa Chung, Pixie Geldof and Kelly Osborne on the front row it was sure to be a hit. When Harry Styles turned up there was a frenzy of young women in absolute excitement, the perfect start to a show, don't you think?!

Inspired by Baz Luhrmann's Romeo + Juliet this season we saw gingham, crocodile and metallic jacquard's to a soundtrack of 90's American Hip-Hop. Throughout there was the work of L.A tattoo artist Alex Garcia on skin coloured tights, leather holsters (for phones not guns) and boyish denim.

In my eyes this is one of Holland's most developed collections and one of my favourites by far. A quick pop backstage to catch up with Henry and my Saturday at London Fashion Week was complete. Home Girls you did not disappoint.

Apologies for the quality of the images, I wasn't expecting to attend hence I only had my iPhone. Take a look at the collection in full here.

Julien Macdonald LFW SS14

On Saturday I was lucky enough to attend the Julien Macdonald show. It was as glamorous as you would expect in every way from the drinks reception to the venue. An Opulent venue was the perfect place to unveil his SS14 collection. An array of sequins in ivory and gold means these looks wouldn't be out of place at the Oscar's.

Not really my kind of thing, but beautiful all the same. What do you think?

My Kinda Thing: NY Highlights

Alexander Wang
Wang has again excelled himself and this seasons collection is one of my favourites so far. Sport chic at its finest with a palette of white black and grey makes this my kinda thing. The pleated dresses and midi skirts add a feminine twist that works seamlessly with the toughness of the rest of the collection.

Ostwald Helgason
This season Helgason brings us youth and fun in the form of wonderfully patterned jacquard fabric in a rainbow of colours. Tailored shirts tucked into skater skirts along side tapered trousers in clashing prints made each look statement. Perfect for the fashionista looking for some colour in their life.

3.1 Phillip Lim
Lim comes back with a bang for SS14. Olive green, navy blue and hints of lavender are the order for the day for this well tailored coloured collection. Printed 'oil spills' and iridescent cracked leather on oversized coats make this a winner in my eyes. Can I have every piece?

Any one who blew you away this year? Let me know your thoughts on my top designers!

What A Girl Wants- September

Necklace- Topshop £17.50
Notebook- Smythson £110
Angora Knitted Jumper- Topshop £68
Leather Skirt- Zara £79.99

What a girl wants, what a girl needs was a hit for Christina and these beauties are on my hit list this month. Some are well out of reach, whereas some could be working their way into my wardrobe if I spend my money right this month. The winner on here for me has to be the Philip Lim Loafers, what I would do for those beauties, but at £470 they wont be making it into my wardrobe! So please please let me know if you spot anything similar on the high street. The Smythson notebook is beautifully finished with a leather sleeve, perfect for some notes on LFW, wouldn't you say? The necklace from Topshop and Skirt from Zara are unbelievable so I'll definitely be looking into gaining those this month. At the moment I'm feeling everything and anything related to mohair so this pastel blue cropped jumper is bloody perfect.

Are you lusting for anything this month?

Style | Paisley

Shoes- Zara
Jeans- Topshop
Tshirt- American Apparel (old, similar here)
Shirt- Warehouse (old, similar here)
Necklace- New Look
Sunglasses- Ray Ban

Paisley is one of my favourite prints and I absolutely love this little number from Warehouse which I picked up last season. I bought a bigger size and wear it oversized either opened or buttoned up and it looks great! Here I have teamed it with a white see through tee from American Apparel and my ol' faithful Leigh Jeans from Topshop. Teamed with my b-e-a-utiful holographic heels from Zara and I'd say this is the perfect look for a Saturday afternoon down the pub with my lovely boy.

So what do you all think? Let me know your thoughts and I'd love if you could follow me on bloglovin'

Pink Lady

When M&S launched their Autumn campaign directed by Style Director Belinda Earl I was instantly in awe of many of the items from the collection. Not usually a shopper of the retail giant I was quite suprised at the high fashion styling of the campaign and I have massively fell in love with this Pink Crombie. Pink is making us all wink this season and there is a range of coats in various shades all over the high street. The trend is being led by brands like M&S, Zara and Debenhams and is a must have for this season.

What do you think of this, will you be getting your hands on a pink coat this season?
